Uplands Park Bird Walk

The next Friends of Uplands Park bird walk with Geoffrey and David Newell is coming up on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Meeting/starting time and location is 9:00am in the main parking lot at Cattle Point. The event will begin with a search for seabirds and shorebirds before a walk through the Garry Oak meadows in Uplands Park. Southbound migrants are coming through the region and some of the target species will include Rhinoceros Auklet, Black Turnstone, Band-tailed Pigeon, Cedar Waxwing, Purple Finch and Western Tanager.
