No Ivy League – Native Species Planting & Invasive Removal February 15 @ 1:00PM

Join us for an afternoon of restoration work in Uplands Park and Cattle Point – lək̓ʷəŋən Territories, Oak Bay BC.

The landscape fabric is off! Help our No Ivy League Team rescue the park’s globally endangered Garry Oak Ecosystems from invasive English ivy and other weeds! Plant some native species.
Every Sunday afternoon through the end of February, help to restore our globally endangered Garry Oak ecosystem by removing invasive plants like English ivy (Hedera helix), thistles (Cirsium sp.),Himalayan Blackberry (Rubus armeniacus)and Daphne (Daphne laureola).
We’ll also be planting native species too!

Instruction, gloves, tools and refreshments provided.


Meet at 1:00pm at the Dorset entrance across from Lincoln.

All ages and abilities welcome to this free activity that helps our Naturehood. Our goal is to make restoration events accessible for everyone, however some terrain and seasonal conditions within the park may provide challenges. If you have concerns or questions, please reach out to us!
