Reminder about Dogs in Uplands Park from April 1 – June 30

Friends of Uplands Park – Dog By Law Reminder

PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOGS ON LEASHES FROM APRIL 1 TO JUNE 30.  DOGS CAN DESTROY BIRD NESTS OR SCARE AWAY NESTING BIRDS including ground nesters:  Spotted Towhee, Chipping Sparrow, Orange-crowned Warbler, Dark-eyed Junco, Song Sparrow and low nesters: Anna’s Hummingbird, Bushtit, Chestnut-backed Chickadee and Bewick’s Wren.
PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOGS AND PUT THE BAGS IN THE GARBAGE!
PLEASE STOP YOUR DOG FROM DIGGING HOLES AND RUNNING THROUGH THE VERNAL POOLS (rare plants)!
Also.. Please do not through Doggy Bags into the bushes or leave them on the meadows or along the trails even if the plan is for picking up later.
