Help Friends of Bowker Creek remove invasive plants in the creek area behind Oak Bay High School. Safe tools provided. Wear your own gloves or borrow ours.

Join Friends of Uplands Park at the Dorset Road entrance near Beach Drive. If you are late, follow the flags. The large area planted last fall has been expanded by the removal by Oak Bay Parks of more invasive trees. Become calm and happy in nature as you help the endangered Garry Oak Ecosystem by removing invasive Daphne laureola, also known as “the stinky rat food plant”. Lots of chatting, laughter and safe tools and gloves provided. Please email Margaret if you plan to come.
