David Newell sends announcement:
Next Bird Walk with Geoffrey Newell’s Friends of Uplands Park Birding Group on Friday May 25-2018:
Join Geoffrey for a sea watch at Cattle Point, followed by a search for singing spring migrants inside of Uplands Park and enjoy the sensational wildflowers at the same time! Please meet at the brand new marine wildlife signs in the large parking lot at the end of Cattle Point at 8:00 a.m. this coming Friday, May 25th.
Amazing fact: Geoffrey has had 15 rare birds this May throughout the city, including several in Uplands Park, Mount Tolmie, Panama Flats and today, he found a female Western Bluebird building a nest in a nest box in the Blenkinsop Valley, the first since their reintroduction to the island about 10 years ago!
