FOUP’s Uplands Park Bird Walk – Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 8:00 a.m.

From David Newell:

“Geoffrey Newell’s next public bird walk for the Friends of Uplands Park is on Saturday, Sept. 17. Meet at Cattle Point at 8:00 a.m.  After watching for sea and shorebirds, we will go inland to search for fall migrants.  Did you know that Uplands Park hosts 22 endangered plants and is essential to native birds? Did you know that Geoffrey’s announcements for his bird walks are regularly found on Shaw T.V. (Channel 4) and in the Oak Bay News during the week before his walk and on the Oak Bay Recreation Parks website?   Please spread the word and enjoy these sources of media as well.  Let us know on his next walk, if you spotted them.”

If anyone has photos, or stories, from the Uplands Park Bird Walks that took place on June 30-2016 or August 27, 2016, please send to Kathleen Matthews at KathleenMatt@gmail.com, for posting to the FOUP website. Apologies for not posting these two events, back before they took place. I have been out of town for most of the summer. Photos and stories from the July 30th bird walk also welcome.
